not7chan was created during an extended period of downtime of 7chan. When 7chan returned, not7chan served the purpose of containing boards which 7chan had not re-added (e.g. /cake/). Shortly after it's creation, several camwhores took up residence in /b/, causing the creator to nut in his pants and declare the site a success. Sadly, they were all struck down by whore related illnesses a week later, leaving the site without a userbase.
